Riccardo La Perna: Executive Chef

Riccardo La Perna, the executive chef of 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana Shanghai, comes from a small town in Sicily, in the very south of the country. After working in several of the Italy’s finest hotels, he landed in Beijing more than a decade ago, moving to Shanghai a few years later, where he has been ever since. An encyclopedia of Italian food culture and history, La Perna is often seen in the dining room chatting with guests, shaving truffles or whipping sgroppino at the end of the meal.
