Chef Claudio Sadler

Chef Claudio Sadler has rich experiences of culinary journey. He opened his first restaurant, the Osteria di Porta Cicca and he was awarded two Michelin stars (2002). Later, he brought the Italian culinary culture in Tokyo and Beijing. In 2008, he opened a restaurant  in Tiananmen Square in Beijing, where he built Ristorante Sadler as a top-rated destination of Italian food in China.

“An ever-changing, modern cooking”: this is probably the best defintion of Claudio Sadler culinary philosophy, characterized by a delicate balance between loyalty to traditional Italian regional cooking and enlightened reinterpretation of creativity and artistic sensitivity of the chef.

Chef Riccardo La Perna

Chef Riccardo La Perna, coming from Sicily, bringing with him a variety of impressive experiences in 5 star hotels, including Ritz Carlton Shanghai and Park Hyatt Milan, and prestigious fine dining restaurants such as Ristorante Sadler both in Italy and in Beijing.

Those experiences at an early age in his career made him acquainted with the highest standards in cooking methods and in the requirements of an upscale clientele. Carrying on the same philosophy with chef Bombana, chef Riccardo brings classic Sicily flavor to the restaurant in Shanghai. With chef Riccardo’s continual efforts and team’s great support, 81/2 Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA Shanghai was awarded with two stars since 2016 Michelin Guide Shanghai Edition till this year, 4 years in a raw.
