Sandro Brusco – Restaurant Manager

Hailing from Calabria, southern Italy, Sandro enriches the 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana management team with his experience, wine knowledge and warm hospitality.

Sandro’s career begins in his homeland, where he completes the Hotel School diploma and starts accumulating restaurant experience in some of Italy’s most beautiful destinations, while getting his first taste of the international scene with stints in Switzerland and United Kingdom.

In 2011 he decides to further improve his knowledge and enrolls at the Alma Wine Academy, graduating as Sommelier with top marks the following year.

This further boosts his career as in 2012 he joins the two-Michelin-star restaurant Il Pagliaccio in Rome as Sommelier.

At the end of 2013 he moves to Hong Kong, first with the Domani Restaurant team and then with the Ritz Carlton in 2014, where he is Assistant Manager at the one-Michelin-star Tosca Restaurant.

In 2016 he finally joins 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana as Restaurant Manager, where he is always available to recommend great wines and deliver an outstanding experience.
